Ariane Dewey is an artist who lives in New York City. Ariane often works with another artist, Jose Aruego. He draws the lines, and she paints the colors. Together they created pictures for more than 65 books. Ariane enjoys hunting for animal pictures to use as reference. She searches in libraries and on the Internet. Then Jose can get the shapes and Ariane can get the colors just right.
